Since 1991, Joan Protess & Associates (JP&A) has successfully mediated, both telephonically and in-person, numerous disputes involving commodity futures, securities, employment, and other commercial matters filed before the National Futures Association (NFA), the National Association of Securities Dealers Regulation, Inc. (NASD), the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the American Arbitration Association, the New York Stock Exchange, and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, as well as federal and state courts. As the administrator of the fully subsidized mediation program of the NFA, JP&A has mediated over 1000 commodity futures cases. JP&A has mediated approximately 400 matters filed at the NASD. JP&A also offers other alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services, including dispute avoidance, negotiation, advocacy, development of ADR programs and training in ADR methods.
